Overview:
SHADOW is a youth-led nonprofit founded by Md Saddam Hossain Roni to support communities through relief, education, and empowerment initiatives. It has led impactful projects across Bangladesh with a mission of building compassionate, action-oriented leadership.

Key Initiatives:

• 5 Flood Relief Missions

• 6+ Winter Clothing Campaigns 

• Eye Surgery & Health Camps for underprivileged

• International Youth Leader's Conferences (2015, 2017)

• Activities during Covid-19 pandemic situation:

  • 100 Thousands+ Mask Distribution for Doctors, Police, Working class people and general people

  • Free Sanitizers & Soap Distributions

  • Food distribution for animals on the streets

  • Gifted Groceries & Medicines for Middle class families (1000) anonymously 

Talk Hope

An initiative for Suicide Prevention & Mental Health Awareness

Overview:
Launched on February 29, 2024, Talk Hope is Bangladesh’s first 24/7 emotional support and suicide prevention platform. Operated by professional psychologists & trained youth volunteers, it provides confidential counseling via social media and soon through a nationwide toll-free number.

Key Highlights:

• 200+ trained volunteers

• Active support via Messenger & digital platforms

• Mental health workshops in schools, colleges and universities

• National impact campaign against youth suicide

Empathy 2023

Charity Rock Concert

Overview:
Organized on June 2, 2023 at Hatirjheel Amphitheatre, Empathy 2023 brought together over 12,000 youth to promote empathy, mental health, and positive youth culture—through music.

Highlights:

• Featured 9 top bands: Warfaze, Artcell, Shironamhin, Ashes, etc

• Hosted by SHADOW & Rotaract Club of Dhaka Orchid

• Covered by Rotary International blog & national media

• Focus: “Rock for a Cause” – supporting initiatives by SHADOW & Rotaract Club of Dhaka Orchid

U‑CAN

United Climate Action Network

Overview:
Founded in 2024, U‑CAN is a youth climate platform under SHADOW’s umbrella that empowers students and volunteers to engage in grassroots environmental action.

Focus Areas:

• Tree Plantation & Reforestation

• River Clean-up Drives

• Climate Literacy Campaigns in Schools

• Digital Activism on Earth Day, Environment Day
